hand woven tapestry

We continue the tradition of hand weaving, which we further connect with warp painting. Hand-woven tapestries are created in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains on a classic mechanical loom from 1906, originally used by textile artist Maria Applová.

How tapestry is made.
We interweave the warp painting with a linen weft combined from two to five threads. By combining threads, we create a wide range of shades, which we sometimes complement with a metallic accent by using metallized fibers. We create tapestries as fine art or as tailor-made pieces made to order.
Parameters: The width of the fabric is determined by the width of the loom
and is always 124 cm however, the length of the tapestry can be adjusted.
